Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay is a Californian born in Long beach on 24 August 1972. DuVernay received encouragement from Aunt Denise at the age of an infant. She was an evening nurse in order to give her aunt the time she needed during the day for the love of literature, art, and theatre. DuVernay instantly was captivated when she showed her that 1959 West Side Story film. DuVernay realized that art could be an effective way to spread social activism. DuVernay was trained by her mother, who had a social conscience and encouraged DuVernay to show her creativity through art. DuVernay, who grew up together with her parents in Compton was a summer resident in Lowndes County Alabama in the house of her father's family. Her father recalled watching the historic civil right's march along the Edmund Pettus Bridge near the town of Selma Alabama. DuVernay was strongly influenced by the summers she spent in Selma, and later directed a documentary about King's father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. DuVernay obtained her Saint Joseph High School diploma in Lakewood California. Upon graduation, DuVernay studied at the University of California Los Angeles and earned degrees both in English and African American study. DuVernay was in college at the time she began to become fascinated by the production aspect of the broadcast media. Her first job was as an intern with CBS News, during the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay recalled being given the responsibility of looking over the house and examining the waste of one of members of the jury. Her disappointment was evident in her journalistic duties and decided to change to the field of public relations. DuVernay was offered a job straight out college, as a new publicist at a studio. Her first venture was The DuVernay Agency, her company for public relations in 1999. Besides PR, the agency established several lifestyle platforms including Urban Beauty Collective, Urban Thought Collective Urban Eye, HelloBeautiful. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley's zodiac sign is.
